Lodging Econometrics released a list of the cities with the largest hotel construction plans for the third quarter of 2018.

• New York City – currently 170 projects, 29,630 rooms
• Dallas – currently 157 projects, 18,954 rooms
• Houston – currently 150 projects, 16,473 rooms
• Los Angeles – currently 141 projects, 24,129 rooms
• Nashville – currently 115 projects, 15,179 rooms

› Detroit has 18 new hotel projects with 1,937 rooms

› Atlanta is also contributing to U.S. hotel stays with 12 new projects with 1,354 rooms
