Beautifully merging historic architecture with modern construction, the nearly century-old Commodore Perry Estate is slated to welcome guests in early 2020. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Auberge Resorts Collection will manage the hotel, which promises to be an oasis of charm and luxury in the middle of Austin.

The restored property is a 10,800-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style home. Formal gardens embellish the secluded 10-acre compound. While the refined, Texas-luxe mansion hosts function space, a new, two-story hotel features 53 luxury guestrooms and a fitness center. Lutie’s, a garden restaurant named for the original owner’s wife, offers both lush décor and fresh, locally sourced ingredients that perfectly complement the expansive garden view.

Event space can host up to 250 guests. It includes five rooms within the mansion, the mansion’s formal gardens with 3,000 square feet of manicured grounds, and a restored 1,600-square-foot chapel that is available for receptions and cocktail parties.
