The hotel chain will acquire 588 rooms at seven properties in Barbados, creating unparalleled luxury opportunities.

Marriott has agreed to buy Elegant Hotels Group in a $130.1 million deal that will give the chain seven hotels on the island of Barbados. The hotels include Colony Club, Tamarind, The House, Crystal Cove, Turtle Beach, Waves Hotel & Spa and Treasure Beach. Six of these exclusive, boutique properties are on the western Platinum Coast of the stunning island of Barbados, facing the powdery white sand beaches of the Caribbean.

Marriott will renovate the hotels and operate them as all-inclusive under their various collection brands. The company will offer its iconic expertise in developing the properties to showcase the island’s outstanding locale and culture. Travelers can expect the renowned service and amenities of the Marriott Bonvoy global travel program that creates distinct global opportunities to feel at home.
